NOTICE
The City of Eatonton Planning & Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 6:00 pm in the meeting room at The Hut, 400 W. Marion Street, Eatonton, GA 31024 to consider the following agenda:
- Discussion and possible recommendation for Amendments to the City of Eatonton Zoning Ordinances proposed by the Eatonton City Council:
- To amend Sec. 75-4 (Definitions) by adding “Brewery means an establishment that manufactures beer and malt beverages.”; and “Distillery means an establishment that manufactures distilled spirits or spirituous liquor.”
- To amend Sec. 75-311 (Uses allowed) (C-2) by adding “Brewery.” and “Distillery.” to “Manufacturing and industrial uses”.
- To amend Sec. 75-321 (Uses allowed) (I-1) by adding “Brewery.” and “Distillery.” to “Manufacturing and industrial uses”.
- To amend Sec. 75-331 (Uses allowed) (I-2) by adding “Brewery.” and “Distillery.” to “Manufacturing and industrial uses”.
- To amend Sec. 75-342 (Uses allowed) (Downtown Business District) by adding “Brewery: conditional use.” and “Distillery: conditional use.”
- Discussion and possible action on recommending changes to:

- 75-142. – Development standards. (R-2 RESIDENTIAL LOW-DENSITY DISTRICT)
- 75-192. – Development standards. (R-3 RESIDENTIAL MEDIUM DENSITY DISTRICT)

Notice: All opponents to any rezoning request on the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council agendas must file a disclosure of campaign contributions with the Planning & Development Department within five calendar days prior to public hearings if you have contributed $250.00 or more to an elected official in Putnam County within the last five years.
*The City Council will hear these agenda items on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 7:00 P.M., in the Putnam County Administration Building, 117 Putnam Drive, Room 203, Eatonton, GA 31024.

The City Council reserves the right to continue the meeting to another time and place in the event the number of people in attendance at the meeting, including the Board of City Council, staff, and members of the public exceeds the legal limits.
The City Council hearing will be conducted pursuant to O.C.G.A. 50-14-1 and Section 75-66 of the City of Eatonton Code of Ordinances and meets the requirements of the Zoning Procedures Laws established in O.C.G.A 36-66.
