The City of Eatonton is seeking a part-time (three hours per day) Kitchen/Senior Citizens Center Helper to assist in various capacities in the kitchen/dining/activity areas of the Eatonton-Putnam County Senior Services Center. Major duties of the position include serving lunch daily, maintaining and cleaning the kitchen, dining, and activity areas, managing the safe storage and rotation of food, following health and safety procedures, and other related duties as assigned by the Director.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read and write. Applicants must be able to see, hear, talk, walk, stand, stoop, sit, and carry packages and objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Selected applicant must agree to pre-employment and periodic drug screenings and is subject to a probationary period. Consent to a criminal background check may also be required. Selected applicant will be required to obtain Serv-Safe certification within eight weeks of employment.
