Community Cleanup Week: May 25 – 29

Gary SandersCity News

The Mayor and Council of the City of Eatonton encourage citizens to participate in a Community Cleanup Event to ensure that our City will look its best during this year’s Dairy Festival.  During the week of May 25 – 29, citizens are encouraged to do what they can to spruce up and beautify their yards by cutting grass, trimming bushes, and removing yard debris.

Citizens with residential garbage service accounts may also dispose of their old appliances, furniture, general trash, and debris by placing these items near the curb.  Please be sure to separate limbs and yard debris from other trash items to assist with collection efforts.  Certain items, such as paint, hazardous household waste, construction and demolition materials, and batteries, are prohibited.

In an effort to ensure the beautification of the City during the Dairy Festival, citizens are asked to not put out bulk trash items and yard debris for collection during the week of June 1 – 5, 2015.  If you have any questions, please call City Hall at (706) 485-3311.
